ABOUT MY BOOKS
Ever since I was a child growing up in Clarkston, Michigan I loved being in the outdoors studying the amazing critters and things in our four-acre wild backyard of woods and ponds. At a young age, I wrote, drew, and stapled my own handmade books. Later, my father lent me his mimeograph so I could run off copies as books. As a teen graduating high school I was given a book by Michigan author/illustrator Gwen Frostic, For Those Who See, and I knew this was to be my path! I would spend my life collecting wild tales to share in picture and word!
I LOVE writing and illustrating books for all people of all ages and abilities. The joy of reading and the wonder of nature go hand-in-hand and is a necessity for all in this fast-paced world.
